I just read your memorial about your beautiful black standard poodle. I have a black miniature poodle and he is my third since I was a child. Mine is 10 and as he gets older I am dreading the day I have to say goodbye to him as I love him so much. People do not realise what wonderful dogs poodles are and think they are silly dogs with silly haircuts but they are so much more. When one passes they leave so many memories and a hole that can never be filled by any other dog breed. I have a Tibetan Terrier also, and although I love himit is completely different to the way I feel about my poodle who understands everything I say to him and never leaves my side. Yours sounds as if he was very loyal and loving too and I can completely understand how much you must miss him.
