When Dog Grooming Limited Movement May Be A Sign Of Canine Arthritis

Canine arthritis can happen in any dog at most any age although it’s usually when they are older. Unfortunately our dogs can’t talk so we have to read the signs as they present themselves. Dogs will tell us in their actions how they are feeling.

In your dog’s dog grooming when your are moving his legs around to do nail trimming or remove hair from the feet with your dog grooming clippers and your dog reacts to that movement there is a good chance he is having some kind of joint or muscular problem.

Now is the time to pay more attention to the way your dog is walking. Is he running as much? Does he jump on the bed as easily? Is he having trouble getting up from a laying position? And are these on going problems for him? The answers to these questions will tell you if you should have Rover seen by a veterinarian for a professional diagnosis.

If your dog does have arthritis many times supplements and dietary changes can help his condition. These supplements are available in many pet supplies stores and dog grooming supplies catalogues. If those fail than your veterinarian will have medicines that will help to deal with the disease and keep your dog comfortable.
