Your choice of dog grooming brushes will depend on your type of dog and dog needs. Obviously this is a must have for all dog grooming. You will find several varieties of dog brush available. You can find these at any dog grooming supplies house or pet supplies catalog.

There is your slicker brush. They come in a curved variety, my choice for set up and initial brush out. The ever gentle variety is one I prefer. There will be less chance of irritating the dog skin with this brand. There is also a flat slicker brush. I use this one with close set tines for the finish brushing after the dog has been bathed and dried.

Then there is the pin brush. Good for dogs such as the Pomeranian or other dog breeds where you don’t want to pull out the dogs under coat as you brush.
