Dog Grooming Scissors, a must have in your Dog Grooming Tools

All right. Now we’re getting down to it. Dog grooming scissors. Very important to any dog grooming. Also can be very dangerous. My grooming instructor always liked to use the words danger, danger, danger. It keep us on our toes and aware of what could happen if we weren’t paying attention.

As far as dog grooming what you will need in the way of dog grooming shears, three pair should do you fine to start.. Although you can start with just one pair of straight scissors in your dog grooming tools it will make it easier for you if you have all three. I started with dubl duck shears. A very reasonable shear of decent quality with a low end price range.

You will want to have a pair of straight, a pair of curved, and a pair of thinning dog grooming shears. They will be offered in different lengths. I started with a six inch length and have found it to be useful in all of my trimming needs.

There are more expensive brands available thru your pet grooming products catalogues and stores. They may have better movement or hold a sharp edge better. My favorite dog grooming shear now is the Roseline. You can still find this scissor for around a hundred dollars. For a thinning shear you may want to go with one called a 44-20 also my favorite thinning shears.
