Dry Skin Can Be Helped With The Right Dog Shampoo

Dry skin is a problem often seen in dog grooming and a common problem with dogs. This problem can have a seasonal flare up. Dry weather like we find in the winter can be a problem for a dog’s skin just as it can be for our skin.

This problem may show up with symptoms of your dog scratching and chewing at himself or flaky skin, becoming more obvious when you use your dog brushes or others of your dog grooming tools.

During these times your may find that less frequent bathing or using a moisturizing dog shampoo and or conditioner when you are bathing your dog will be of help. All of these are available through your pet supplies house or your veterinarian.

There are also many natural supplements and herbal tonics available to help with skin and coat conditioning. If you can’t find your own solution to the problem then it’s time for a consultation with your veterinarian.
