Ear Powder, Keep It In Your Dog Grooming EquipmentEar powder is a great aid in removing hair from the ear and keeping the ear dry. Should your dog be a breed of dog that grows hair in the ear canal, an example would be Poodles, Schnauzers and Shih Tzu, this powder will be of benefit in the removal of the hair. You will want to keep this in your dog grooming equipment. Then on dog grooming day pull it out with the rest of your dog grooming tools and get to work. You just squeeze the bottle blowing a puff of powder into the ear. The powder will dry out the hair and make removal of the hair blocking the ear canal, using either your fingers or hemostats, easier. Then you can clean the ears.
This powder can also be used to help keep the ears dry and reduces odor. If your dog needs hair removal from the ear canal do that first then clean the ears well and then blow a puff of the powder into each ear.
For my use I prefer Gimborn R-7. With just one or two dogs a small bottle of powder will last a very long time.
