You May Want a Haunch Holder As Part Of Your Dog Grooming EquipmentA no sit haunch holder is one of the dog grooming tools you may want to keep in your dog grooming equipment. This dog grooming tool will act like a third hand if you have a dog that continually wants to sit down during his dog grooming. There are a couple of style of holder available through your pet supplies house or dog supplies catalogues. The first one which, pictured here, is the most reasonable of the types. It is simply two loops of a wire cord covered with a plastic coating and then padded with some extra rubber to protect your dog. Hook this up to your dog grooming arm, slip the shorter smaller loop around your dog neck and the longer larger one around his waist, adjust the grooming arm so there is no room for your dog to sit and Rover will stay standing for as long as need be
The second style of holder is a canvas strap with holes for your dogs rear legs that attaches to a short arm that comes out over the back of your dog. This arm is attached to your dog grooming table and then adjust to the necessary height to keep your dog standing.
While both of these holders will do the job I prefer the first one for it’s simplicity and for the fact that there is little to get in your way while you are dog grooming.
