See the Dog of the Non Sporting Group and then Learn Your Dogs Grooming Needs.
Dog grooming for the Non Sporting Group in the show ring can mean extreme grooming. There are a few of them that require hand scissoring and shaping from head to toe to show off their attributes or because the trim itself was used as help in the job the dog was bred to do. The poodle show trim is a prime example of work that can be involved in this. It is trimmed with only hair left on its joints. The hair is left for protection of the dogs joint and for buoyancy and protection when he is in the water.
You will want to grab your pet grooming equipment for these dogs. Your dog grooming combs, dog brushes , dog grooming clippers and dog grooming scissors for the long haired dog breeds. The short haired dog breeds may require little more than a nail trimmer, ear cleaner, and bathing.
The breeds of dogs in this group are bred as companion dogs. Although originally they might have been bred for hunting, or for protection. They are a group of dogs that just don’t fit in any of the other classification. You may never find any two dogs in this group that are alike.
The dogs in this Group are:
The Bichon Frise, Boston Terrier, Bulldog, Chinese Shar-pei, Chow Chow, Dalmation, Finnish Spitz, French Bull Dog, Keeshound, Lhasa Apso, Poodle, Schipperke, Tibetan Spaniel, and the Tibetan Terrier.
