Do a Reverse Dog Grooming Using Your Dog Grooming Clippers

A reverse dog grooming, in dog grooming, will give you a very smooth haircut and is useful in dogs with a coat that tends to go in a lot of different directions or lay so flat on the skin that you just can not get a good cut on it.

Be sure if you are doing this type of grooming that you are not moving your dog grooming clippers faster than the blade can cut the hair. You will pull hair and possibly damage the hair follicles especially in dogs with sensitive skin.

Pick a blade from your dog grooming equipment that gives a cut 2 sizes longer that what you are wanting the finished grooming length to be. Always go up those 2 sizes because a reverse cut will cut that much shorter on the finished dog grooming. Another reason for you to have some different size blades in your dog grooming tools.

The rest of the dog grooming is simple. Clipper opposite the lay of the hair and when no more hair comes off your will have completed that portion of the hair cut for your breed of dog.
