Shorthaired Dog Grooming, Dog Grooming At It's Easiest

Shorthaired dog grooming is the easiest of the dog grooming tasks that you could undertake.

The dog grooming equipment you’ll need will be your dog brush, nail clippers, ear cleaning equipment, shampoo and dog dryer. You won’t even need your dog dryer if you have a comfortable place where your dog can just air dry.

First you’ll want to brush out your dog. This will get rid of any old undercoat and any loose hair. Trim your dogs nails , but don’t go back to far. Remember there’s a nerve and then a vein. Clean your dog’s ears with a good commercial ear cleaner or a homemade one. If you get a lot of smelly black wax out of the ear canal then you may have to deal with an ear infection.

Bath your dog in a good dog shampoo or make your own shampoo with one of the recipes you may find listed on the internet. Rinse well and towel dry.

Should you be using a forced air dryer to dry your dog you will get rid of any loose hair that didn’t brush or wash out during the dog grooming process.

After your dog is dry do another quick brush out and your dog is done and life is good.
