Use an Undercoat Rake to Remove the Loose Under Coat From Your Dog

An undercoat rake is great for those breeds of dog that have a soft downy undercoat and go thru a seasonal shedding. If you have one of these dogs you will want to keep at least one rake in your dog grooming equipment.

This dog grooming tool actually looks like a small rake with metal tines. You will find them in a couple of different length, but mostly available with short tines.

The rake will grab hold and take out any undercoat that has let go and is just hanging there. It’s very effective way in dog grooming to keep control of those clumps of hair that fall from your dogs coat all over your house.

Leave the undercoat rake page and return to our dog grooming equipment page.
