Find Your Dog in the Working Dog Group and then Learn his Dog Grooming Needs

Dog grooming for the dogs in the Working Dog Group is very much like the hounds. Keep these breeds of dogs in their natural state using your dog brush and dog grooming scissors.

Although in this group are some that grow thick dense long hair that you may want to keep short and at least one that will need regular grooming to keep in a trim.

An example of a long thick coated working dog would be the Komondor, His coat is there to make him look like he’s one of the sheep in the herd he’s protecting A long thick coat, matted together to make dreadlocks. The wolves and other predators couldn’t tell him from the sheep.

Another example is the Standard Schnauzer, kept in a very specific trim. For this dog you will want your dog grooming equipment with your dog grooming clippers and scissors.

They may come across as big lumbering loveable dogs, and they are, but they can also be fierce protectors when trained to do so.

The dogs in this Group are:

The Akita, Alaskan Malmute, Bernese Mountain Dog, Boxer, Bullmastiff, Doberman Pinscher, Giant Schnauzer, Great Dane, Great Pyrenees, Komondor, Kuvasz, Mastiff, Newfoundland, Portugese Water Dog, Rottweiler, Saint Bernard, Samoyed, Siberian Husky, Standard Schnauzer.
