The Xoloitzcuintli is a Non Shedding Dog and a Hypo-Allergenic Dog
The Xoloitzcuintli also know as the Xolo or the Mexican Hairless dog is known as a non shedding dog and listed by the American Kennel Club as a hypo-allergenic dog.
Although one of the breeds of dogs that you don’t see a lot of this dog goes back as many as three thousand years ago.
These dogs are coated as well as hairless. The coated variety will have a coat that is similar to the Doberman pinscher. Short and smooth. This coat will shed only a little as long as you keep up on his dog grooming and brushing.

powder puff
variety with long silky hair.
The hairless variety carries no hair, no dander and no fleas. The ideal combination for someone who suffers from pet allergies.
The Xolo makes a loving and loyal pet and wants no more than good exercise and be near his owner.
For dog grooming puposes you won’t need to many dog grooming tools. Other than ear cleaning and nail trimming, brushing for the coated Xolo, bathing will be the most important aspect of his grooming. That along with lotion for his skin.
